Principal's Message

  • Corkran Middle School Families,

This school year has gone by so quickly!! Before we know it, we will be into our spring fever and nice weather!! I wanted to just thank all of the volunteers who have been coming in the building. It means a lot to us to have you give up your time to assist. I also wanted to thank our PTSA. They have been amazing in raising funds that we desperately need in order to operate this school year. They have worked hard through our World’s Finest Chocolate fundraiser as well as our Joe Corbi fundraiser. In addition, they have contributed countless hours to our students, staff, and parents already this year!!! They are trying to hold PTSA meetings at times that don’t intrude with evening events so that we can have the most amount of involvement as possible. I really can’t thank them enough for their dedication, so please consider becoming a member of the PTSA and working to make our school as successful as possible! As we move closer to our holiday break, please remember to talk with your child about taking advantage of our opportunities for re-do, make up work, and extra help. Our teachers are here every Tuesday after school from 3:00-4:00. We also have an advisory period daily that is meant to help students become more independent, organized, and forward planning in their academic work. Some teachers stay after school on other days as well as long as parents can pick up their child, so feel free to reach out to your child’s teachers. Lastly, please join Parent Connect so that you can get almost real time grades for your child. Mrs. Bollino, one of our secretaries, can help you with this if you give the school a call. During the months of November and December, we often see a dip in grades due to the number of breaks and change in schedules. So, let’s work together to ensure that all of our students are successful during this time!! Thank you!!

    Sincerely,
    Adam Zetwick, Principal
