Jason Semanoff, Jr., rising 8th Grade, Chesapeake Bay Middle School
My name is Jason Semanoff, Jr. and I am a rising 8th grader at Chesapeake Bay Middle School. I am honored to serve as your Middle School coordinator for the 2023.24 school year. Some of my hobbies include, cooking, reading, arranging music, and playing cello, guitar, bass guitar, drums and a little bit of keyboard. This is my second year in CRASC. Last year I served as one of the Educational Liaisons for CRASC. Throughout my time in AACPS I have always strived to advocate for my fellow students. My journey to advocacy started in 4th grade when there was a proposed second bay bridge to go at the end of the main road in Pasadena. I knew that my community did not want a bridge by us because our road regularly gets shut down. So, I convinced my 4th grade teacher to have our class write letters opposing the bridge to our local state senator. It worked! Since then, I have always strived for diversity and inclusion in AACPS and my community. During my term as middle school coordinator I plan to advocate for my fellow middle schoolers, but also get middle school students more involved in CRASC and teach them how to advocate for themselves and others.
