Brenton Meade, Junior, Broadneck High School
My name is Brenton Meade (he/him/his), I am a junior at Broadneck High School, and I have the honor of serving as your CRASC President for this school year. I am a magnet student in the Performing-Visual Arts program where I am a piano major. In my free time, I enjoy trying new foods, spending time with family, and composing. I joined CRASC as a 6th grader at MacArthur Middle School in the IB program and worked my way through the ranks in various appointed positions and one elected position: Middle School Coordinator. CRASC has given me so many opportunities to represent the student body and better our county through the Mental Health Task Force and Let’s Talk Justice, and I hope to use my platform to pay it forward.
Over the course of my term, I will strive to increase advocacy in CRASC, accountability in our school system, and access to the resources CRASC and AACPS have to offer. As the student body grappels with new changes including later start times and a new superintendent, it is critical that CRASC meets the moment and ensures that student concerns are heard and addressed, and I will work diligently to ensure that occurs. If you have an issue you are really passionate about or just need someone to talk to, reach out!
