• Our awardees must meet a rigorous set of standards to be named an All-County dancer, including:

    • 3.0 GPA or higher
    • Excellent attendance at school and rehearsals
    • Positive attitude
    • Dance Company member at their school for the entire school year
    • Completes all Dance Company requirements (performances, assignments, deadlines, etc.)
    • No disciplinary problems at school or in dance
    • Advanced dancer skills
    • Leadership ability
    • Sets high personal standards
    • Strives for excellence
    • Service to the Dance program in AACPS
    • Teacher must be present at the all-county selection meeting

    Ava is always striving to deliver her best in dance class and in Old Mill Middle School South Dance Company rehearsal. She sets an example of excellence for the other students in the dance program and she is dedicated to dance both in an out of school - with a very promising future ahead of her!

    Amyah has excelled as a Marley Middle School Dance Company dancer over this past year with her technique and performance quality. She choreographed and performed in several leading roles this past year for future preparation in the Annapolis High School Performing and Visual Arts Program, in addition to dedicating many hours working with other younger dancers to refine their skills. She has gone above and beyond this year and has, notably, voiced how thankful she is for all the support the county provided for her to continue dancing.

    Ashley was nominated for her exceptional technique, performance quality, and leadership skills in Magothy River Middle School Dance Company. She served as a leader in the Dance for Athletes class in 7th grade, and as a choreographer and leader for Dance Company this year.     Addison just completed her second year as a member of the Crofton Middle School Dance Company. She takes on leadership roles with her peers in dance class as well as Dance Company. Addison continues to set high personal standards and strives for excellence in her core classes in addition to dance.     Sophia is a beautiful dancer and enjoys being on stage for Severna Park High School Dance Company. She is also a member of the National Honors Society, National Honor Society for Dance Arts, and a committee member of Alex’s Lemonade Stand. She proudly volunteers for The Lighthouse Shelter, SPCA, and helps build houses for those less fortunate around the country.
