  • Metrics, key to the success of any plan, are the quantifiable measures we will use to track and assess the status of our progress viewed through our chosen indicators. During the life of this Strategic Plan, stakeholders will be able to track our progress using the HOW ARE WE DOING? link on this website. This is the place where relevant data and key performance indicators may be tracked throughout each year.

    Please remember that our Strategic Plan’s focus is on student improvement and positive growth rather than a focus on students meeting specific targets or benchmarks by a certain date. This acknowledges the uniqueness of each individual school or office. While strategic plans of the past may have identified targeted academic milestones – a “one size fits all” model - this plan pushes us to be more courageous. This growth mindset model expects continuous growth for every student, classroom, school, and office in our county.

  • NOTE:  The COVID-19 pandemic forced us to adjust some of our decisions associated with this Strategic Plan.  Moreover, the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) also adjusted assessment mandates and required survey administrations.  As such, some planned data collection aligned with our indicators did not occur during the 2019-20 through the 2021-2022 school year.  Where noted, alternate data sets were collected based on available appropriate assessments or information.
