  • Welcome to the AACPS 2018-2023 Strategic Plan Website

    On this site we share how we started our strategic planning process, learn what elements guided our planning journey, and uncover where this plan will guide Anne Arundel County Public Schools over the next five years. We have engaged hundreds of AACPS stakeholders in the planning process which included four public community forums and numerous planning meetings over the 2015-17 calendar years. This new Strategic Plan acknowledges and builds upon our past successes and challenges and looks forward to consider a future where our students will live, work, and lead - a future that can only be imagined at the present time.

  • NOTE:  The COVID-19 pandemic forced us to adjust some of our decisions associated with this Strategic Plan.  Moreover, the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) also adjusted assessment mandates and required survey administrations.  As such, some planned data collection aligned with our indicators did not occur during the 2019-20 through the 2021-2022 school year.  Where noted, alternate data sets were collected based on available appropriate assessments or information.
