About Our School

West Annapolis Elementary School is a school of approximately 273 students located in Annapolis, Maryland's beautiful and historic state capital. West Annapolis is a part of the Anne Arundel County Public School System. Classes at West Annapolis range from kindergarten to fifth grade; the school serves as a feeder school for Bates Middle School and Annapolis High School. In 1999, West Annapolis was designated a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. West Annapolis has a proud tradition of academic excellence, parent involvement and community support.

Registration for the 2021-2022 school year is scheduled to begin on March 8th for students entering grades 1—12. Kindergarten registration will begin April 7th. Registration will continue to be on-line through the AACPS website (aacps.org). The following documents will need to be uploaded at the time of registration:
*Current lease, rental agreement or mortgage statement
*Current cable or utility bill or bank statement
(please submit entire first page—you may cross out any account numbers or amounts)
*Child’s birth certificate
*Child’s immunization records
*Parent ID
