Principal's Message

  • Dear Solley Families,

Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year! I am thrilled to be returning to Solley as your new Principal, after having just finished my third year of being your Assistant Principal. Solley is a magical place to work and learn, and I am so happy to be leading this incredible group of educators and students every day. The faculty and staff of Solley Elementary are committed to providing our students the very best education. We value building caring relationships, being kind to one another, showing perseverance, and embracing and celebrating diversity.

This summer we have been busy gearing up for another fantastic school year. We have hired incredibly talented new team members to join our faculty and look forward to introducing you to them at our Virtual Back-to-School Night on Wednesday, September 23rd at 6:00pm.

As we prepare for an online start to the school year, please know that we are here for you all, every step of the way. The county is actively working on creating learning backpacks for every student that will include school supplies (the list can be found on the AACPS website, as well as our Solley website and Facebook pages). Teachers are taking Professional Developments and preparing for a rigorous first semester online. We are also working on providing access for all, with a chrome book distribution and a goal of one device for each student. We will be in touch with pick up times and schedules as soon as possible!

I look forward to working together with you and your children as we strive for academic success for all students during this challenging time.

If I can be of any assistance or answer any questions you may have, please do not hesitate to call me personally at 410-222-6473 or email me at
