The Shady Side Elementary PTO was created for the purpose of supporting the education of children at Shady Side Elementary by fostering relationships among the school, parents, teachers, and community and to support the activities and programs of the school through financial and/or voluntary support.
The SSE PTO is an outstanding group of parents, teachers, and staff dedicated to enhancing our children’s learning environment. We help create a positive school experience for all SSE students. Over the past several years, the SSE PTO has purchased Smart Boards and Chrome books for the classrooms, funded numerous performing arts and educational activities, and organized multiple book fairs. We provide teacher support and assistance. Fundraising allows the SSE PTO to offer programs and purchase supplies for the students and teachers that otherwise would not be possible.
Annual membership dues are $6 for one adult and $10 for two. All dues go directly to support PTO goals and sponsored programs. We welcome contributions and donations of any size; no amount is too small.
Business and Community Partnerships:
If you are a local business seeking to make a tax deductible donation (monetary or merchandise) please contact the school and they will forward your information to the appropriate person. Throughout the year our hospitality committee seeks donations for various staff acknowledgement activities and donations are always appreciated.
