Our Mission Statement
The mission of the SPES PTA is to enrich the educational experience for as many students as possible during the school year. This will be accomplished through a partnership with students, faculty and staff to promote accelerated achievement in a welcoming school environment. This organization will work closely with SPES faculty and administration to provide support and resources. Together, we will help students accelerate their achievement while minimizing the achievement disparities among groups.
Join the PTA
It’s easy! We collect an annual $15 per family membership fee. With your paid membership, you receive access to the PTA website, directory and are invited to attend any of our monthly PTA meetings. Paid members are also able to vote on any business that is conducted by the Board.
Additionally, the Invest in Your Child Direct Donation Campaign is the PTA’s primary fundraiser. It provides parents a simple and effective way to support the PTA initiatives that benefit our school community and enrich our children’s learning environment. Rather than selling wrapping paper, candy bars, or other high-overhead efforts, Invest In Your Child simply requests a single donation per family, meaning that 100% of your tax-deductible gift goes directly toward meeting the needs of our school.
