  • We are a PBIS School!

    What is PBIS?

PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention Support) is a process for creating safer and more effective schools. The process focuses on improving a school's ability to teach and support positive behavior for all students.

PBIS impact on North Glen Elementary

PBIS is a major advance in school-wide discipline. We use proactive strategies to define, teach, and support student behaviors. Our environment is designed to improve teaching and learning. We believe teaching expectations and rewarding students for following them is a much more positive approach than waiting for misbehavior to occur before responding.

We are a Triple E School!

    What is Triple E?

The elementary school Triple E classroom provides a fun environment that promotes learning through trial and error. It serves as a launching pad for students to explore different subjects through the lens of the Triple E themes—Arts & Humanities, STEM in Society, Global Studies, and World Culture & Language without the restriction of assessment. Regardless of the theme, this program is designed to spark creativity and teaches students to approach problems with an open mind. Each theme focuses on an avenue for exploration.

Our school is a STEM in Society school! In a world that is changing faster than ever before, the STEM in Society theme creates an environment that allows our students to study challenging and meaningful questions related to our world in the 21st Century, take risks with new ideas and become inventors, problem-solvers, and innovators, whose solutions make a positive impact on the world around them. There is a strong emphasis on STEM methodologies of study, including engineering design, scientific inquiry, computer coding, and more. The natural curiosity of children will be fostered as students work together on projects and problems found within their homes and communities.
