Principal’s Message

Welcome to Mayo Elementary, home of the Mallards!  Nestled on the Mayo Peninsula and overlooking the South River, Mayo Elementary is a K-5 school serving approximately 350 students.  At Mayo Elementary, our mission is to build positive relationships and promote opportunities for all students to achieve their academic potential while fostering their social-emotional and physical well-being. The faculty and staff of Mayo is committed to this mission each and every day. We value building caring relationships, being kind to one another, and persevering to achieve academic potential.  

Mayo Elementary is fortunate to have a committed PTO that works to support our school initiatives and provides additional resources to enrich the students of the Mayo community.  Through this close collaboration, we build the foundation for students to become productive citizens and leaders in our community; we are truly better together.
