SCHOOL HOURS
School hours will be 8:00am-2:25pm. Students may enter the building at 7:45am and are expected to be in their classroom ready for instruction by 8:00am. School office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am-3:00pm.2022-2023 School Supply List is located under the School Supply List tab

Security Cameras
Jacobsville Elementary School is equipped with a video camera system. It covers selected interior and exterior public portions of the building and grounds. It is NOT monitored constantly, but it is monitored during emergency situations. During certain events, when the safety or security of students may be in question, authorized personnel from local, state, or federal police or fire emergency units may be given access to view images projected on the camera system. If you have any questions about the system, you should call the Supervisor of School Security at 410-222-5083.

Out of Area Transfer Requests
Jacobsville Elementary will be accepting Out of Area Transfer (OAT) Requests from March 1-May 1, 2023. After May 1st, all requests must be sent directly to the Board of Education via fax at the number provided on the application. The cut off for accepting 2022-2023 OATs will be June 1, 2023.
To access the application and additional information about out-of-area transfers on the AACPS main web page at https://www.aacps.org/Page/1084If transportation/daycare is required, be sure to fill out and submit the respective forms with the request. You can access the form by clicking "view all" . Please visit the AACPS website for full details. Please note, unless the transfer is approved due to a hardship, parents are required to provide transportation to and from school regardless if the daycare is in the Jacobsville school district.
Reasons for applying for an OAT are limited. Please refer to the FAQs found by clicking on the following link:

School Supplies for 2022-2023 will primarily be provided by the school. A list of provided supplies is posted under our Supply List tab. Students are asked to bring their backpack, headphones, Chromebook, a complete change of clothes, and if they choose, a lunchbox. We do have limited space in the lockers so please, no rolling backpacks.
Parents may choose to have school supplies on hand at home to help facilitate homework as they see fit. A suggested list can be found under our Supply List tab.

All visitors to Jacobsville are required to check in the office, show proper photo ID, and obtain a visitor's sticker before continuing into the building. -
