• Greetings and Welcome……

Our principal posed behind a paper cut-out ship

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your child to the exciting world of learning opportunities offered at Frank Hebron-Harman Elementary. We are so very pleased that we are an IB PYP World School. Through the lens of inquiry, students have the opportunity to develop both inside and outside of the classroom. Students are encouraged to work collaboratively and develop an understanding and appreciation of world cultures and languages.

Our school also prides itself as the first “Kids at Hope” elementary school in Anne Arundel County and the state of Maryland. We are also a PBIS “Gold” school, having achieved the highest status, and very proud that the system we have put into place for student expectations are fluent and sustaining. Our staff as “Treasure Hunters” and “Aces” continuously mentor and encourage students to focus on recognizing that they are “talented, smart and capable of success.” We support our parents and guardians as the “Anchor Parents,” instilling in your child the understanding that they should always strive to be and do their best. We appreciate the work and support of our PTA and parent volunteers, and strongly encourage our parents to get involved and partner with the school to support and promote our continued success.

We have an outstanding staff of educators who work collaboratively to plan, deliver, and assess meaningful, rigorous and equitable instruction. We recognize that it is our responsibility to demonstrate each day our passion for providing students with a quality learning environment complete with necessary resources. We encourage a strong collaborative partnership, and promote open communication. Always feel free to contact your child’s classroom teacher or administrator to address any questions or concerns.
