Volunteers, who potentially may have more direct contact with students must first apply for a commercial background check utilizing the following link: Application.  At this time we are providing monthly opportunities for parents to access the building to volunteer.  Therefore, all visitors and volunteers are pre-arranged and will be accompanied by an AACPS employee while in the building.

All students will receive breakfast.  We ask that all families complete an online meal application, your child may qualify for free lunch.  Click on ‘meal application’ below to access this application.  Results of the completion of the applications help the state in determining schools with a percentage higher than 40% who receive Title I funds.

We understand sometimes students forget their lunch delivery, if needed, should occur prior to lunch time of the student and be labeled by the parent. We will place them in a designated area in the cafeteria for the students to pick up.

We ask that you communicate via phone or note when you are interested in visiting a classroom.  We welcome opportunities for parents to visit.  This provides insight for you into instruction and curricular demands; however, we do ask that you please provide teachers with 48 hours notice.  This provides the teacher an opportunity to notify you of any adjustments to the schedule.

During your visitation, please refrain from the use of cell phones and other devices within the classroom; this is to include taking of pictures, or recording, as well as bringing small children.  We want students to attend instruction and learn as much as possible.
