A.A.A. stands for "Academic Achievement for All. A.A.A. schools receive additional county funds to support our academic programs. These funds allow for additional staff members, materials of instruction, professional development opportunities, and parent involvement initiatives. At Brooklyn Park Elementary we provide intervention services in grades K-5. Our reading programs include Leveled Literacy in grades K-2, Voyager in grades 3-5 and Triumphs in grades K-5. In Kindergarten, we also have a Home School Liaison who works with students on learning basic literacy skills and communicates with parents on how they can best assist their children. In addition to reading, we also provide math support in grades 1-5 through small group instruction and our “Math Munchers” lunch bunch club in grades 3-5.
