The Lindale Middle School STEM program is proud to announce that 14 teams participated in and created designs for the Baltimore Museum of Industry’s Straw Bridge Competition this past semester. Students had to create a bridge out of paper straws that could support the weight of a toy truck. They had to adhere to certain specifications, conduct extensive research in order to design an effective structure, and create a visual representation of that work. Of those 14 teams, 4 teams elected to go a step further and join the oral presentations and live virtual judging; they represented our school well, displaying confidence in their work and demonstrating professionalism and teamwork. Many congratulations to all students who participated!
The 1st and 2nd place winners of the Baltimore Museum of Industry Straw Bridge Competition deserve an extra round of applause!
1st Place: John Forrester and Sean Galedo
2nd Place: Amaan Lakhani, Joshua McDavitt, Shaian Tsang, and Aidan Bass
