• Hello and welcome to the Ruth Parker Eason School webpage! Our school provides specialized instruction for students aged 3 through 21 years of age with moderate to significant disabilities. Early childhood and school aged students are placed at Ruth Parker Eason school through the special education process, with support of the AACPS Special Education Department.

This year, our instructional focus will continue to address Written Language within each of our school-aged departments.  New to our School Improvement Plan this year is our school-wide focus on Culturally Responsive Teaching.  Family participation will be an integral part of our intentional implementation of Culturally Responsive Teaching, as staff will incorporate student culture, experiences, and preferences into instruction and accommodations.

Our school theme for 2023-24 is “Teamwork makes the dream work,” and we are truly a team at Ruth Parker Eason School.  The RPE staff is comprised of over 80 educators, related service providers, and support staff who are dedicated to ensuring every student has a positive and meaningful learning experience.  It is through the collective efforts of every team member, including families,  that our students meet with success.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need additional information.
