    6th grade Summer Bridge 2020

This year's PVA Summer Bridge program will be offered in an online setting. Online experiences will be designed to familiarize incoming students with the program, their prime arts area and Bates Middle School. Additionally, online learning experiences will provide opportunities for collaboration with classmates. In this virtual setting, we will be extending the number of days from a three day intensive, to a Monday-Sunday model (July 27-August 2), with experiences being spread over a full week. Instruction will be offered between Monday (7/27) and Friday (7/31), with assignment completion due by Sunday(8/2).

All 6th grade students, and 7th grade students new to the program, are required to complete Summer Bridge. If your student is unable to attend during the week of July 27th options include:

*Completing the online assignments after July 27 but prior to the first day of school
*Attending an alternate arts based camp, providing documentation and completing a written reflection on the experience.

    PVA 7/8 Summer Bridge 2020

Rising 7th and 8th grade students are invited to participate in an eLearning Summer Bridge Experience. Participation is not mandatory, but optional.  However, students who register for Summer Bridge WILL be expected to complete the experience, as instructional outcomes will be catered to and designed based on the commitment to participate. During Summer Bridge, students will have the opportunity to work independently and collaboratively to refine knowledge and technique of their Prime art while also exploring other art forms.

In this virtual setting, we have extended the number of days from the traditional three day intensive, to a Monday-Sunday model, with experiences being spread over a full week.  Instruction will be offered between Monday and Friday, with assignment completion due by Sunday.

Students may choose to attend for either of the following weeks.

If students are not available for either of the offered weeks, but would like to receive credit for the Summer Bridge requirement, the may also participate in an alternate arts based camp, submit documentation, and complete a written reflection of the alternate experience.
