Students will experience components of the PVA program designed to prepare them for the 2020-2021 school year. The virtual format will offer experiences that are fun, rigorous, and relevant to the PVA course of study.

In this virtual setting, we have extended the number of days in the week from the traditional three (3) intensive days, to a full Monday-Sunday week (July 6-12), with experiences being spread over a full week.  Instruction will be offered between Monday (7/6) and Friday (7/10), with assignment completion due by Sunday night (7/12) of the week following that week’s bridge experience. This offers your student flexibility.

All rising 9th Grade students will be required to participate in PVA Summer Bridge.  Given the virtual nature of this year’s experience, we will not be approving requests for alternate bridge experiences.

    10th Grade Summer Bridge Dates: JULY 13 - 19

Students in grade 10 will be given the opportunity to participate in a virtual, collaborative Summer Bridge project, but it will NOT be mandatory.  However – students who register for Summer Bridge WILL be expected to complete the experience, as the project is designed for collaborative rather than individual work.

We’re seeking students who are interested in committing to participating in a recruitment video project - creative storytelling through video that will attract the best and brightest to PVA!  Videos should be memorable, repeatable and capture the viewer’s attention.

Students will be assigned to small groups and a PVA faculty mentor for the project and can use tools available to them such as Google Classroom, Google Drive, Google Meet and WeVideo.

In this virtual setting, we have extended the number of days in the week from the traditional three (3) intensive days, to a full Monday-Sunday week (July 13-19), with experiences being spread over a full week.  Mentorship will be offered between Monday (7/13) and Friday (7/17), with assignment completion due by Sunday night (7/19) of the week following that week’s bridge experience.
