PVA Middle School

The PVA Middle School Magnet program offers an arts-infused curriculum for students interested in achieving
their maximum artistically. Located at Bates and Brooklyn Park Middle Schools, this program is designed to
engage students in focused arts instruction with qualified teachers and professional artists to foster creative
inquiry, artistic excellence, and community engagement.
PVA Program Highlights- Arts Integration Schools provide arts instruction throughout all academic areas
- Longer PVA class periods to allow for deeper engagement in the arts
- Arts-infused curriculum for students interested in achieving their maximum artistically through focused arts instruction with qualified teachers and professional artists to foster creative inquiry, artistic excellence, and community engagement
- Provides collaborative experiences with professional artists and musicians
- Extensive instruction in chosen Prime arts area
- Offers many performance and exhibition opportunities
- Summer Bridge programs offer students opportunities for intensive study with PVA teachers, guest artists, and community arts partners
- Field trips to professional arts events, performances and exhibitions
- Opportunities for exploration across the arts in Extended Day
- Integration of technology for research, as a choice of media and/or as a tool to archive achievement
