Local, state and national resources for parents and students are found in the Social Emotional Resources page of the AACPS website. There are hotline numbers, links to informational resources, and support for parents and students on current topics found on this page.
The Center on the Social and Emotional Foundations for Early Learning (CSEFEL) is focused on promoting the social emotional development and school readiness of young children birth to age 5. CSEFEL is a national resource center funded by the Office of Head Start and Child Care Bureau for disseminating research and evidence-based practices to early childhood programs across the country. This link will take you to their website where you will find many resources for parents.
The American Academy of Pediatrics website has general information related to child health or for more specific guidance on parenting issues, for all ages and stages of young people.
The National PTA webpage provides many resources for parents.
Kids.gov is the official kids' portal for the U.S. government linking kids, parents and teachers to information and services on the web from government agencies, schools, and educational organizations, all geared to the learning level and interest of kids.
Anne Arundel County Health Department School Health Guide for Parents provides good information on a number of topics.
The Learning Community is a non-profit foundation established in 1993 to help schools and families work together on behalf of children. Their main program is The Learning Community website with lots of great resources for parents.
