When schools close Two Hours Early:
Evening High School and P.M. ECI sessions are canceled. A.M. ECI sessions will dismiss at regular time; the special education center ECI session will dismiss at 11:00 a.m.
After-School Activities
After-school and evening activities at schools whether virtual or in person, including practices, performances, clubs, tutorig and athletic events - are canceled. Bus Transportation Services
P.M. ECI,sessions are canceled.
A.M. ECI sessions will dismiss at the regular time; the special education center ECI session will dismiss at 11:00 a.m.
CAT-S
- P.M. sessions cancelled
- last bus trip from high schools to CAT-S will arrive at 8:40 a.m.
- last bus trip to high schools from CAT-S will depart at 11:20 a.m. (A day) 9:45 a.m. (B day)
CAT-N
- P.M. sessions cancelled
- last bus trip from high schools to CAT-N will arrive at 8:45 a.m.
- last bus trip to high schools from CAT-N will depart at 11:20 a.m. (A day) 9:45 a.m. (B day)
All AACPS after-school activities, including tutoring and athletic events, and including activity buses are canceled. (whether virtual or in-person)

Employee Reporting
The workday for Unit I (TAAAC) employees will end as soon as their responsibilities for student supervision are completed. Other Unit I employees shall be released by their principal or supervisor when their duties and responsibilities have been satisfactorily completed.
- If inclement weather occurs on a day when students have a scheduled early dismissal (as set forth in the school calendar) the work day for Unit I (TAAAC) employees will continue until an early release is authorized by the Superintendent, unless the inclement weather causes students to be released earlier then the pre-scheduled time.
- Unit II (AEL) employees will be released by their principal or supervisor when their duties and responsibilities have been satisfactorily completed.

Unit III AFSCME) employee work requirements are provided in the Employee Handbook.
- School-based Unit IV (SAAAAC) employees may leave their work locations in line with the regular dismissal as affected by the early closing. For example, if a school-based Unit IV (SAAAAC) employee regularly leaves his/her work location at 3:30 p.m. and schools are closed two hours early, the Unit IV (SAAAAC) employee would be dismissed at 1:30 p.m. Non-school-based Unit IV employees will be dismissed at the direction of the Superintendent or the Superintendent’s designee.
- Unit V and Unit VI employees shall be released by their principal or supervisor when their duties and responsibilities have been satisfactorily completed.
