How can I make a referral to the Infants & Toddlers Program?
Call the office at 410-424-3260 during normal school hours (Monday-Friday from 7:30am-3:30 pm). An intake/referral specialist will gather contact information and find more information about your specific concerns. Usually this phone call takes about 3-5 minutes.
If you call after regular school hours, you can leave a message and an intake specialist will return your call during the next business day.
Who can make a referral to the Infants & Toddlers Program?Parents, caregivers, medical professionals, and social service providers can make referrals to the Infants & Toddlers Program. Please note that children have to be determined eligible to receive early intervention through an IFSP (Individualized Family Service Plan). Enrollment in the program is voluntary.
How much does it cost?
Services (including a referral, screening, evaluation, or any early intervention therapy session) are at no cost to residents of Anne Arundel County.
What if I do not live in Anne Arundel County?
If you live in Maryland, please contact the Infants and Toddlers Program in the county you reside. This phone number can be found on the website for the Maryland State Department of Education (www.msde.org).
Who do I call if my child is over 3 years of age and we live in Anne Arundel County?
Early intervention services for children between the ages of 3-5 are provided by Child Find. Please contact them by calling 410-424-3280. A Child Find staff member will be able to take your referral and explain their services.
My child is enrolled in the Infants and Toddlers Program and I need to cancel a scheduled appointment. Who should I call?
If you know the name of the person, please call or email that service provider. Service Providers should provide families with their work cell phone number and/or work email. If you do not know the contact information of the person scheduled to come out or you need to cancel an initial evaluation, please call the main office at 410-424-3260.

How do I know if appointments are cancelled due to inclement weather?
The Infants & Toddlers Program is part of the Anne Arundel County Public School System. Therefore, services (home therapy appointments, groups located at a school, evaluations, and meetings) will be cancelled if there is a listing of Code Blue or Code Red. Listings can be found on the Anne Arundel County Public Schools website (www.aacps.org) as well as on listings on local TV & radio stations, and school affiliated social media sites (Twitter, Facebook).

Your service provider may share upcoming events that may be of interest to your family. RSVP's are needed to make sure there is adequate space and handouts for everyone. Please call the ITP office at 410-424-3260. A listing of upcoming events including a brief description, locations, dates, and times can be found on the ITP website under Upcoming Events.
Who do I contact if I have concerns about the services my child is receiving through the Infants & Toddlers Program?
