  • Leaving for the summer? Some things to remember....

    The Carol Sheffey Parham Building and all AACPS schools and work locations will be closed on Fridays over the summer beginning July 8, 2022 and ending August 5, 2022.

    Employees must work their extended hours during the four-day summer work week, except if you have been given approval by your supervisor to take annual leave on Fridays.    

    Remember your Password

    All employees must abide by Board Policy and Regulation regarding Technology Use and Security (DI-RA). Employees who will be gone over the summer are expected to memorize their system password. Passwords should not be emailed or written down.

  • Supplemental Retirement annual limits have increasedfor 2022

    2022 Defined Contribution Plan Limits Increase

    The Defined Contribution Plan limit for 403(b), most 457 plans, and the Roth plans have increased for 2022.  The maximum employee elective deferral amount remains $20,500.  For participants ages 50 and over, the additional “catch-up” contribution limit is $6,500.

  • Job Description Library

    Online Job Descriptions

    All active job descriptions except Unit IV are available on the Classification intranet page

    All job descriptions will be available online in JDXpert (coming soon).

    JDXpert is designed to:

    • Allow employees to search and view job descriptions online
    • Allow employees to acknowledge their job description electronically
    • Allow managers to search, view, edit, and submit changes for existing job descriptions
    • Allow managers to create new job descriptions
    • Allow employees and managers to identify if a job description is career ladder eligible
    • Allow HR to track and store historical job descriptions  
    • Allow participation in Position Description Questionnaire (PDQ)

    Career Ladder Upgrade Eligibility

    Units III, IV, and V have several career ladder eligible positions identified. An employee can identify if a position is eligible if multiple grades AND career ladder requirements are listed on the job description. For additional instructions on requirements and submission, please visit Help & Support located on the Classification intranet page.

  • Employment Verification

    Are you buying or refinancing a home? Need a car loan? Direct your lender to use The Work Number to obtain verification of your employment/salary.  Tell your lender the code for AACPS is 10599.  Instructions are available.  There is also a handy flyer.

  • Fraud, Waste and Abuse

    AACPS has a Fraud, Waste and Abuse reporting hotline number that employees and citizens of Anne Arundel County can call to report potential instances where they believe fraud, waste or abuse of AACPS property or resources is taking place. The toll free fraud hotline number is 1-888-484-1169. It can be reached 24 hours a day. All calls are confidential and can be made anonymously.
