AACPS Blueprint Work by Pillar
Governance and Accountability
The Blueprint for Maryland's Future involves coordination between many agencies and institutions at all levels of Maryland government to implement various programs and initiatives. To help ensure the successful implementation of The Blueprint for Maryland's Future, an Accountability and Implementation Board (AIB) was established. The AIB is an independent unit of State government. It is the job of the AIB board to monitor the State's progress towards implementing the Blueprint's programs, initiatives, and strategies. The Blueprint also establishes an Expert Review Team (ERT) of educators and administrators to support the implementation of the Blueprint at the school and district levels. The ERTs will review data and conduct comprehensive school visits consisting of observations, interviews, and focus groups to identify opportunities for improving the implementation of Blueprint initiatives to better support and improve student achievement.
