AACPS Division of Advanced Studies and Programs believes strongly in providing innovative educational programs for our students. It is through offering Magnet Programs in International Baccalaureate (IB), Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), and Performing, Visual, Arts (PVA), as part of our schools of choice, that students get to rigorously explore their interests, talents, and abilities in a highly specialized instructional setting. In the Magnet Programs, students learn about and explore issues that are current and relevant within their field of study. Students take both pride and ownership in being a part of a Magnet program as they prepare themselves to be future leaders.
For more information related to any of the Magnet Programs, please attend one of our Fall Magnet Information Nights. For details, please view the attached flyer. La versión en español: Spanish-language version.
In case of inclement weather or weather related closure, please go to the Anne Arundel County home page for delays and closings (www.aacps.org). It is important to note that Extended Day for PVA students is not considered an extra-curricular activity. In fact, Extended Day is incorporated in the instructional Day for the Performing and Visual Arts High School Magnet. Extended Day closures will be communicated with a transportation directive when determined.
20 September 2017: BMAH Parents: Due to a downed wire at Marley Neck Boulevard and Spencer Road, buses may experience delays in transporting students home from school today. All buses will make all stops, but they may be delayed in getting to those stops. Should buses be delayed in getting to schools, students will be supervised at their schools until those buses arrive. Thank you for your patience and understanding, and have a good afternoon.
