The safety and well-being of students is paramount at Anne Arundel County Public Schools.

GANG AND GANG-LIKE ACTIVITY/
COMMUNICATING SCHOOL-RELATED CONCERNS

Anne Arundel County Public Schools (in cooperation with the Anne Arundel County Police Department) has developed a Student Safety Initiative, which will include a gang awareness and education program. The AACPS school system, individual schools and the Office of School Security are engaged in collaborative partnerships with a variety of agencies, including the:

  • Anne Arundel County and Annapolis police and fire departments

  • Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney’s Office

  • Anne Arundel County Department of Health

  • Anne Arundel Mobile Crisis Response Unit

...to aid in the implementation of prevention and awareness programs and assist students when emergency incidents do occur.
