   Mathematics Graduation Requirements

    In order to graduate from an Anne Arundel County Public School with a Maryland State
    Diploma students must:

  • Earn 4 credits in mathematics which must include a credit in:
     
    • Algebra I (If Algebra I is taken in high school, only one of the two credits earned is a mathematics credit.  The second credit is an elective credit.)
       
    • Geometry
       
    • 2 Additional Mathematics Courses from the list below
      • Algebra II*
      • Pre-Calculus
      • Advanced Placement  Statistics
      • Advanced Placement Calculus AB
      • Advanced Placement Calculus BC
      • Calculus III
      • Integrated Topics
      • Foundations of College Algebra
      • Personal Finance
      • Statistical Analysis
      • Advanced Placement Statistics
      • Text Box: For students enrolled in the International Baccalaureate Program
Math Studies
      • Mathematics Standard Level
      • Higher Level Math 1
      • Higher Level Math 2
         
  • Pass the Maryland High School Assessment in Algebra/Data Analysis.

    *Students seeking to qualify for admission to Maryland state colleges and universities
     must earn a credit in Algebra II in addition to earning credits in Algebra I and Geometry.
