Video Library
The Anne Arundel County School System maintains a large collection of videos and DVD’s for use by
teachers and support staff in the classroom as materials of instruction. Videos are placed in the Video
Library based upon the recommendation of curriculum committees working through the Review and Evaluation
Office.
Videos and DVD’s are circulated for a two week period to both public and private schools in Anne
Arundel County. Duplicate titles of the most frequently requested videos have been placed in the video
library to reduce the possibility of a request refusal due to prior bookings.
Dubbing Services
Dubbing services can be requested by calling the Video Library at (410) 721-8465. Copies may be
transferred from VHS to VHS only. Videos may also be shifted from the overseas formats of PAL and SECAM.
Dubbing takes place in real-time and is on a first-come, first-served basis, so please take this into
consideration when making plans for use of the dubbed material. Multiple copies can be made at the same
time.
Copyright law is strictly adhered to and no copies will be made of commercial materials without
written clearance from the producer. Schools and individuals need to provide their own videotapes.
The Library Media Specialist is the point of contact in each school for this service.
