Our elementary schools are exciting places where teachers help students
develop intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically. At the elementary
level, we focus on building the foundation for student learning, which continues
throughout the years leading to high school graduation.
In middle school, a team of teachers is responsible for the educational
progress of a group of students. This approach gives teachers more time to work
individually with students and promotes a sense of community.
Our 12 comprehensive high schools provide students with a rich program of
studies to prepare them for the world of post-high school education and the
world of work.
Special education centers, applied technology centers, alternative schools,
and an outdoor education center also serve the children of Anne Arundel County.
