Parent Resource Manual
(for
parents of children living with Autism Spectrum disorders)
The
manual was developed to assist parents of children living
with Autism Spectrum Disorders. These resources will also
support parents living with children diagnosed with other
disabilities. There are many sections within the Parent
Manual, which will assist you with interventions,
strategies, and resources. Listed below are examples of a
few sections:
- Understand the diagnostic criteria of Autism
- Helping peers and community members understand ASD
- Identify potential therapeutic interventions
- Recognize considerations and guidelines for developing
friendships within the community
- Explore supportive stress management tips for the
caretaker
- Introducing your child reference worksheet
- Creating an “Emergency Protocol Plan”
