Arundel County
Public Schools and Johns Hopkins
University are pleased to announce an
eighteen-credit Certificate in Gifted
Education, which can stand-alone or be
combined with an eighteen-credit
Certificate in
Administration/Supervision to provide
a thirty-six-credit Master of Science
in Educational Studies.
This master’s
degree is Maryland State Department of
Education (MSDE) approved. The
programs meet several needs:
-
For those
educators teaching or desiring to
teach academically talented
students, the eighteen-credit
certificate in Gifted Education
provides the knowledge and skills in
curriculum, instruction and
assessment to meet the needs of
these students.
-
For
those educators who must meet MSDE
certification requirements, the
thirty-six-credit Master of Science
degree provides a MSDE approved
program.
-
For
those educators who wish to become
certified as Administrator I, the
thirty-six-credit Master of Science
degree meets the MSDE requirement.
Both AACPS and
JHU personnel offer the graduate
program in Anne Arundel County with a
