School Information

Evening High School and the Alternative Programs are canceled when Anne Arundel County Public Schools close early because of inclement weather.

After-School Activities


After-school and evening activities at schools - including practices, performances, clubs, and athletic events - are canceled when Anne Arundel County Public Schools close early because of inclement weather.

Bus Transportation Services
 

      CLOSING 2 HOURS EARLY

P.M. Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, ECI, and Developmental Center sessions are canceled.
 

A.M. Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, Developmental Centers and ECI sessions will dismiss at regular time or 11:20 a.m., whichever is earlier.


CAT-S

  • last bus trip from high schools to CAT-S will arrive at 7:30 a.m.

  • last bus trip to high schools from CAT-S will depart at 10:10 a.m.
     

CAT-N

  • last bus trip from high schools to CAT-N will arrive at 7:25 a.m.

  • last bus trip to high schools from CAT-N will depart at 10:00 am


All AACPS after school activities and athletic events, including activity buses are canceled.

Employee Reporting

All Unit I (TAAAC) , Unit II (AEL) , and other employees will be released by their principal/supervisor when their regular duties have been satisfactorily completed.

When after-school activities are cancelled, all Unit I (TAAAAC), Unit II, (AEL), and Unit IV (SAAAAC) employees are to be releases by their principal/supervisor no later than 30 minutes after the departure of students.

School-based Unit IV (SAAAC) employees may leave their worksites in line with their regular dismissal as affected by the early closing.  For example, if a school-based Unit IV (SAAAAC) employee regularly leaves his/her worksite at 3:30 p.m. and schools are closed two hours early, the Unit IV (SAAAAC) employee would be dismissed at 1:30 p.m. Non-school-based Unit IV employees will be dismissed at the direction of the Superintendent or the Superintendent's designee.
