RECORD 34 ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS TEACHERS ACHIEVE NATIONAL BOARD CERTIFIED STATUS

In all, 70 Anne Arundel County teachers sought the certification this year. The 48.5 percent achievement rate is the highest since Anne Arundel County Public Schools joined the program in 2002 and far surpasses the national average of 36 percent.

The following AACPS teachers achieved National Board Certified status:

Maryland ranks 11th nationwide in the number of new National Board Certified Teachers.

County educators who achieved National Board Certified status will be honored at a reception on December 19, 2007, at the Parham Building, 2644 Riva Road, Annapolis.
