HARVEST FOR THE HUNGRY – KIDS HELPING KIDS CAMPAIGN EXTENDED THROUGH NOVEMBER 9

“I realize that the hurricane has impacted everyone in our county, but that impact in general has been especially hard on the needy,” schools Superintendent Kevin Maxwell said. “Imagine struggling to put food on the table in the first place, and then having that food wiped out by a power outage or storm damage. Sandy has further strained the Food Bank’s resources as it struggles to keep up with demand, and we need to rise to the occasion to help our neighbors in need. I am confident our children and employees will do just that, and I urge all county residents to help out.”

Anyone wishing to donate money or canned goods to the Harvest for the Hungry – Kids Helping Kids drive can do so at any county public school or office or clicking on the DONATE NOW button below. Checks dropped off at schools should be made out to the “Anne Arundel County Food Bank” with the notation “Harvest for the Hungry.” Checks dropped off at school system offices should be made out to “Anne Arundel County Public Schools” with the notation “Harvest for the Hungry.”
