15 OUTSTANDING COUNTY EDUCATORS NAMED SEMIFINALISTS FOR 2012 TEACHER OF THE YEAR HONOR

A group of 50 Anne Arundel County teachers will be honored at the 26th annual Excellence in Education banquet at the BWI Marriott in Linthicum on April 16, 2012. Five finalists for the 2012 Anne Arundel County Public Schools Teacher of the Year award will be announced later this month. The winner will represent the county in the Maryland State Teacher of the Year competition.

In addition, three private school teachers will vie for the 2012 Private School Teacher of the Year award.

The event, presented in partnership by Anne Arundel County Public Schools and the Annapolis & Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce, will also honor local business and community partners that have forged critical partnerships with schools across the county, directly benefitting AACPS’ 76,000 students.
