Greetings Parents, Guardians, Students, and Community Members:

Welcome to Windsor Farm Elementary, where the staff, community, and
administration work to provide a rich and rigorous learning environment
through collaboration and best practices. Windsor Farm truly has a history
of success and dedication with the goal in mind of meeting all students’ needs
as well as community involvement that is second to none. Parent volunteers and
the PTO play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of Windsor Farm. We are
also very fortunate that the PTO works diligently to provide additional resources
to support the school and its programs.  As your Instructional Leader, I am
looking to continue to build upon what this tremendous school already has to offer.

For the upcoming school year, we will continue to
provide opportunities for the
growth of the whole child, but also will focus upon Anne Arundel County Public
Schools’ and the Superintendent’s Goals. The Goals include the following:

  • Academic Achievement
  • Safe and Supportive Learning Environment
  • Community Collaboration
  • Equity

We are also continuing to focus upon the school system’s number one priority, which is closing the achievement gap. We will do this by utilizing the effective practices that Windsor Farm has in place, coordinating the aspects of a strong School Improvement Team, which will include all stake holders, direct our attention to the school system’s professional development priorities, and focus on the upcoming infusion of the Maryland Common Core Standards which will take place over the next few years. It is certainly an exciting time for education both locally and nationally.

As we prepare to move forward, I would like to thank you for the opportunity to serve you and your children. Windsor Farm is a wonderful place with a tremendous staff, and I am very excited about all that we will accomplish together.

Sincerely,

Jason Otte

Principal

Maryland State Assessment
The Maryland School Assessment (MSA) is a test of reading, math, and science achievement.

MSA meets the requirements of the federal No Child Left Behind Act. It is administered annually to students in grades 3 through 8. This test provides educators, parents, and the public valuable information about student, school, school system, and state performance. MSA scores also shows how children performed compared to other students across the nation.
