Our school is a warm, caring place where boys and girls are successful with their learning. We give children a strong foundation in all subjects, and also find time for such enrichment activities as band, strings and chorus, Field Day, Career Day, a Home Reading Incentive program, and a Talent Development program which encourages the special interests and talents of all students.
West Meade was first built in 1964 and is located on Fort Meade Army Base. Students in PreK, K, ECI are served in the school's 21 self-contained classrooms and 4 portable classrooms. We have a diverse population consisting of primarily military children with small percentage of civilian children.
