News and Activities

    West Annapolis is a busy school with a variety of programs available to its students.  Before and after programs and clubs include  the Latchkey county day care program, the Yearbook Club, the Human Relations Committee and the Chess Club.  Other programs that West Annapolis students are exposed to include, Expeditionary Learning, Reading Incentive "Reading Retrievers,"  Black-Eyed Susan Book Award program, No Put-Downs, the Science Fair, Guest Readers, Chesapeake Connections and PTA Cultural Arts programs.  These programs are enriched by the partnership between the school staff, West Annapolis parents and our local college population comprised of St. John's College students and U.S. Naval Academy midshipmen.  The school's monthly school newsletter is the best resource to learn about upcoming activities.
