Mission of the Severna
Park Middle School (SPMS) Parent
The mission of the SPMS PTO is to coordinate a strong volunteer organization and to raise funds to be used to enhance the learning experience of our students. The PTO raises money mainly through membership dues. A modest amount is also raised through our various fundraisers as well as the Dollar for School programs (Giant, Safeway, Box Tops, etc.). SPMS discourages its students/families to do door-to-door fundraising. All families who join the PTO by October 24 will receive a copy of the annual PTO directory that is printed in November. Joining the PTO after the deadline misses inclusion in the directory, but does receive a listing in the school newsletter. PTO appreciates everyone’s generosity and support. Please print out the PTO form and become a member today! Dues/contributions are: $20–Regular Member, $40–Patron Member, $50–Park Pride Member, $75–Gold Member, $100–Spartan Member, and $250-Spartan Plus Member. As a volunteer organization, the PTO requires teamwork vested in your support. If each of us could give a few hours through the year we can once again be active and visible participants supporting SPMS
