SPMS Citizen Advisory Committee
(CAC)
The CAC is an organized way for the SPMS
community to participate in guiding the education of our children.
The CAC is composed of the principal, parents, teachers, students and
community members. In previous years, the CAC focused on some of the following
educational issues:

Sponsoring guest speakers -
including county council members, and language arts and math coordinators to
introduce new programs.
·
Advocating for facilities
improvements - air conditioning, lighting and asbestos removal.
·
Redistricting.
·
Transition team for the
seven-period to four-period day.
Meetings are scheduled for the second Monday
of the month (with the exception of December) at 6:00 pm in the conference room
or media center.
