Dear Parents,
Already, preliminary plans are being put into place for next school year. Currently, we have 404 students enrolled in our school. The Board of Education has projected that our enrollment next year will be 392 students. As promotions, transfers, and retirements are considered, assignments of teachers to particular grades will not be established until July. I am confident that, as a school community, we will be well prepared for next school year and turn whatever challenges we are presented with into our strengths.
If your child is currently enrolled in Shipley's Choice but you intend for him/her to attend school elsewhere next year, please let our school know as soon as possible. Part of our success is how well we work together in preparing for a smooth opening to a new school year. It can be most disruptive for our students if class assignments continue to be adjusted after the first day of school.
Your support, patience, and understanding are greatly appreciated as we plan for next August. As always, thank you for all of the positive support you extend to me and the staff of Shipley's Choice.
