Dear Parents, Students, Faculty and Administrators,
The school year is off to a great start, I hope everyone has settled in to their schedules. I’d like to welcome the 6th students and parents and invite you to become members of the PTSO and actively participate in your school’s many opportunities to be involved. I’d also like to thank last year’s PTSO for an outstanding year! The school is reaping the rewards of all of your hard work! Thank you to the volunteers who are already hard at work this year!
This is my first year as SRMS PTSO President, please be patient as I learn the role. Please send me your ideas, suggestions, and offers to help! In fact, we are in need of help in a few areas: Retail Rebates, Honor Roll Ice Cream Parties, and the Spring Fundraiser (scheduled for April 1
st, 2011). Each of these committees has someone that can help you learn the responsibilities and volunteers to help. Please email
SRMS.PTSO@GMAIL.COM if you are interested. Also, we would love for the students to be involved with the PTS0, after all, they are the “S” in PTSO!
Please take a moment to join the PTSO and consider a direct donation. The Fall Fundraiser was not as successful as we’d hoped, and direct donations will help fund the needs of our students and teachers for the year. Our funds help provide technology, ink, special programs and other needs to improve our children’s experience at Severn River Middle School.
Please join us for a PTSO meeting on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm in the Media Center. We will do our best to keep the meetings to an hour. Our next meeting of the 2010-11 school year will be
Tues. March 15. 6:30 for regular meeting, 7:30 for Auction meeting.
Students are encouraged to attend!
