The Phoenix Center has been a PBIS school since 2005.  Last year we were recognized as a Silver Designated Recognition School.  PBIS is a school wide program that promotes positive behavior and academic improvement through targeted strategies.  This year we are working on three domains- readiness, respect, and responsibility.  Students earn Phoenix feathers for demonstrating appropriate behavior across the three domains.  They can turn in the feathers at the school store once a week.  There is a raffle every month where students have the opportunity to win prizes.  We also hold a holiday bazaar where the students can buy gifts with their feathers.  Throughout the year, we hold other special events.  This year we are having a Work Walk and pizza night in November, Taco Dinner in the spring and the spring fling, where students can turn in their feathers and make a flower arrangement for Mother’s Day.
