Important SAT/PSAT Prep Course Information

Dress for the Graduation Ceremony
  • Males should wear white dress shirt and dark tie, dark slacks (NO JEANS) and dress shoes (Not sneakers or sandals).
  • Females should wear a white dress that is not longer than the gown and low-heeled shoes.
  • The graduation robe (males - blue, females - white) should look neat. Press it if needed, but be careful not to scorch the fabric. No decoration may be added to the cap and gown. No graduate may carry anything. Do not wear your cap and gown to the ceremony site. Carry it on a hanger.
  • Do not chew gum.
  • The mortarboard (cap) should be worn slightly towards the front of the head approximately 1 inch above the eyebrow. It is never worn on the back of the head.
  • The tassel is worn on the left side of the head. You will be moving the tassel to the right along with your classmates later on during the ceremony.
  • Ladies, do not bring a purse.

Feb. 10 Cap and Gown pictures to be taken in Auditorium
Feb. 15 Cap & Gown orders must be turned in. cost goes from $60 to $80 on Feb. 16th
Feb. 26 Senior-sponsored Talent Show in cafeteria
March 1 Senior dues must be paid by this due date!
March 9 Senior cap and gown make-up pictures- 8-1:30 PM in Auditorium/
March 13 Senior Fashion Show fundraiser at OMHS Auditorium - 7PM
March 19
Chic -Fil-A Spirit Night at Quarterfield Park Rd.Chick-Fil-A - 5-9pm
April 10 Tentative date for delivery of auto accident vehicles for static display at OMHS.
April 14 Prom promise assembly - Students must attend in order to purchase prom tickets - 2nd period. Presentation by speakers from the U. of Md. Shock Trauma
April/May Senior Class blanket orders (Great graduation gift)
May 9 Senior Prom at the BWI Marriott
May 10 After-Prom event at North County Aquatic Center.
May 16 Cap and Gown price increase to $100
May 22 Senior Awards Breakfast
June 2 Last Day for graduating seniors
June 6 Graduation at the Equestrian Center

 

Class dues
Freshmen $10
Sophomores $15
Juniors $20
Seniors $25
Please turn in all dues to your advisors- either Ms. Creveling or Ms. James. All dues must be in a sealed envelope with your name on it.
