AP Studio Art

Main Focuses

• Creating a drawing portfolio focusing on quality
• Creating a 2D design portfolio using the art design elements
• Creating a 3D design portfolio focusing on the 3 dimentional art design principles

The AP Test:

Instead of an actual written exam, the students will submit the portfolio they compiled together throughout the year. From three to seven artist-educators will grade the portfolio. They review each of the three sections, drawing, 2D design, and 3D design, independently based on the standards for that section, each carrying equal weight.
