Welcome to Maryland City Elementary School, home of the soaring EAGLES! At Maryland City we believe that all of our students should be provided with the best education to prepare them for college. Our school provides instructional programs for pre-kindergarten through grade five students.
Classroom instruction is differentiated to address each childs' learning level and interests. The Treasures reading program includes a variety of leveled literacy titles, novels and non-fiction instructional text. EnVisions is our primary math resource, supplemented with additional opportunities for problem solving and enrichment. Science, Social Studies and Cultural Arts complete the instructional day. Our programs are based on the Anne Arundel County curriculum and goals which are aligned with the Maryland State Standards. Title I funding will provide additional interventions for targeted students requiring academic support to reach learning goals.
The faculty and staff of Maryland City Elementary school want to ensure children have a successful and positive experience. It is our goal to provide a safe, positive, nurturing and challenging environment for learning.
