A Message from our Principal, Ms. Nina Lattimore
Welcome to Marley Elementary! I am excited and proud to be principal of this excellent school. We are currently in our seventh year of operation in our new school building and we have much success to celebrate! Marley is a fully accredited elementary school. To top off our list of honors Marley Elementary was recently named Maryland Demonstration School, awarded by Maryland Association of Physical Education of Health, Recreation, and Dance. It is certainly hard to hide our Mustang pride!
I have been an educator for 10 years. Prior to my role as principal at Marley I was a classroom teacher in the District of Columbia, ESL teacher at Marley Elementary, Marley Middle, and Ruth Eason. I was also a second grade teacher here at Marley as well.
My guiding belief as an educator is, “No significant learning occurs without a significant relationship.”(Comer) I want to make sure each student at Marley knows he or she is special to me and that he or she will succeed and excel here. This is an amazing school with truly inspired teachers and incredible students. I look forward to each and every day with your children. Please don't hesitate to call or email. I have an open door policy and enjoy and look forward to hearing from you. My phone number is 410-222-6414, and my email is nlattimore@aacps.org.
Keeping Informed
In order to keep informed, please take time to read our monthly school newsletter, Mustang Mail. The school calendar is easily found under the monthly school newsletter. Each grade level/department will feature their monthly news in our school newsletter and determined by the team.
Email is also a popular way of keeping informed. If you have difficulty finding an employee’s email address, please send me the email and I will pass it along to the staff member.
