Welcome to Jacobsville - Where the Future Begins.
Jacobsville is located at 3801 Mountain Road, Pasadena, Maryland in Anne Arundel County. Our school was built in 1998 and is home to approximately 550 students in grades Kindergarten through Grade 5. Jacobsville Elementary is a very modern facility with a unique design that makes it stand out in the community.
Everyone at Jacobsville is committed to providing students with a meaningful instructional program that addresses the learning needs and interests of all of our students. Students are encouraged to "shoot for the stars" and to excel academically as well as socially. Consequently, we provide our students with a variety of support interventions such as enrichment programs/activities, small group instruction, investigation and research projects. In addition, students are encouraged to investigate the fine arts. Many of our intermediate students are actively involved with our outstanding instrumental music and chorus programs. After school clubs are also available, e.g., the yearbook club. Providing our students with a well-balanced, instructional program is a priority at Jacobsville.
In order to assist students to develop socially acceptable behaviors, students practice conflict resolution skills that they learn in Second Step. In addition they also learn about values such as responsibility, cooperation, honesty and others in our character education program Core Essentials. It is our goal to produce students that will be positive assets in the community.
Parents are vital to the educational growth and academic success of their children and are encouraged to be actively involved in their lives at school. We have a very active PTA as well as an extremely strong volunteer program. Everyone is welcome to participate.
